With our elderly population rapidly growing, we have about 11% of the citizens that live in Graham County that are 65 years of age and older.  1 in 9 age 65 to 85 will develop some type of dementia and by age 85, 1 in 3 will be afflicted by it. First responders play an important role in the lives of people with Alzheimer's and other Dementia’s and their families. We recognize the necessity to have information at your fingertips that can help guide you through difficult situations with people with dementia and to keep all involved as safe as possible.
